Digital Audio Post Production for ATV
As digital television broadcast comes into being, changes are due in post production. Among the most prominent of these are: increasing use of digital audio recording and distribution, multichannel audio, production information contained within headers so that end user sets can make level more equal among other things, 100 dB dynamic range potential, and the removal of the 75 μs pre-emphasis used in analog broadcast. The impact of each of these factors will be felt in post production with a greater need for multichannel capability, and with new monitoring needs.
