Wrappers and Metadata Progress Report
This paper reports the findings of the Subgroup on Wrappers and Metadata of the EBU/SMPTE Task Force on Harmonization of Standards for the Exchange of Programme Material as Bit Streams (TFHS) and the standardization projects now under way. This paper is not a full description of the work of the EBU/SMPTE Task Force, for which the reader is referred to the various reports and papers (1,2,3,4); this paper concentrates upon describing the architecture of the proposed overall solution for Wrappers, by reference to some example applications, and some issues of integration with existing standards and extension of the standards in the future.
