File-Based News Acquisition

File-based news and content acquisition has arrived. Once dominated by linear feeds via satellite, fiber and microwave trucks, today reporters, producers and photographers are finding alternative ways to get video back from the field. When no ENG truck is available, crews are no longer required to make the mad, deadline-driven, dash back to the station, bureau or closest uplink to prep video for air.
