Standardization of the Digital Television Tape Recorder within the Framework of the CCIR
The article outlines the work the CCIR has been doing in the area of digital television tape recording, putting the emphasis not on actual decisions, but on the decision-making process itself. The introduction reviews various aspects of the problem at hand and is followed by four paragraphs describing the activities of the Joint Interim Working Party set up by CCIR Study Groups 10 and 11 to deal with the question. The author then gives an overview of the work still to be done, and concludes with thanks and acknowledgements to the companies and individuals that have contributed to the success of the work.
