Calibrated Color and Software for LED Luminaires
LED luminaires have become increasing sophisticated over the past several years. Lamp heads are essentially computers with light engines attached to them. Some manufacturers have been able to take full advantage of this by pairing advanced electronics with versatile software features. More importantly, professionals are now able to utilize calibrated LED systems to create precise and accurate colors. With a calibrated LED system, software can be developed over the lifetime of the fixture to create new and better ways of generating color. In this paper, we will discuss the possibilities and advantages of such a system and what it means for the way we pick and generate colors using LED luminaires.
