Electronic Image Stabilization System for Video Cameras and VCRs
Further miniaturization (size and weight reductions) and zooming capability enhancement have made consumer-grade video cameras as popular as VCRs with general consumers. As the result of these trends, however, some problems have surfaced, such as poor playback image quality due to fluctuation of images captured by the handheld video cameras. In recognition of these problems, Matsushita has developed an image stabilization system that is based entirely on image-processing techniques and that is small enough to be incorporated into compact video cameras and VCRs.
