Introductory Remarks at Get-Together Luncheon

Members of the Society and Friends: The 135th Technical Conference this past October in Los Angeles on “Integrating Technologies in the Digital Era“ expressed a basic theme on what the future holds for the film and video industry. From the keynote speech by Silicon Graphics Past Chairman James Clark to the conference program to the exhibit floor, the evidence of an industry in transition was everywhere. New digital systems continue to enter the market, further blurring the already fuzzy lines between film, video, and computers.
