The 1993 Progress Report — An Engineering Perspective
Engineering activities in the SMPTE progressed rapidly in a number of areas: in all-digital production for television, by the increasing use of hybrid film/electronic techniques for film production, and by the burgeoning developments of new digitally-based distribution and delivery systems for consumer uses.
