The following overview will attempt to relate the key advances in motion-picture technology and practice achieved during the previous twelve months, while following the path a motion picture takes from its inception as film rawstock through to its eventual exhibition in theaters around the globe. In this way the impact of an “individual” technology may be better assessed as it relates to the entire process.
