Implications of Digital Video Graphics

Although it is not presently in the limelight of digital television, digital image generation can well become a most significant area of development in the overall television system. Digital image generation will not be limited to networks, studios and production houses. It is even now occurring at the television receiver itself. It will impact all the professional areas of television. The early signs of this development in broadcasting can be seen now, as the delivery time of the first truly digital graphic image generators approaches.
