A Simplified Electrolytic Method for Ferricyanide Bleach Regeneration

J. Wesley Kleppe, Charles R. Nash

Ferricyanide bleach is used by many photographic processing laboratories because of its high bleaching efficiency and its capacity for regeneration. This report describes a low-cost electrolytic method for bleach regeneration that reduces operating costs and lowers ferricyanide waste by 30 percent. This improved regeneration method enables a photographic processing laboratory to more easily meet effluent regulations.
