Progress Committee Report for 1979

The format of last year's Progress Report has been continued this year with the Affairs Vice-presidents exercising wide editorial judgment and flexibility since each of them is well known and knowledgeable in his own field. Many new international members have been added to the committee, resulting in reports on countries not included in last year's report, and again Robert van der Leeden has provided an enlightening overview of television activities in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The Society experienced a year of growth and activities, and the highlights of the activities are reported upon.
