Vladimir Zworykin — A Personal Note

I first met Vladimir Zworykin in Moscow in 1959. It was a momentous event because President Eisenhower and Chairman Kruschev agreed to the first cultural and scientific exchange between America and the Soviet Union. Detente was to replace the “Cold War,” and 400 U.S. engineers, scientists, and other experts converged at the American National Exhibition in Sokolinki Park.
