SMPTE Biographical Sketch

Robert M. Smith, Past President of the SMPTE, served as President for the 1979-1980 term. His term of office was a time of change and growth for the Society. During his tenure, he was instrumental in enlarging the scope of the Society and enhancing its prestige, particularly in the international area.
