SMPTE Biographical Sketch
Harold J. Eady, President of Novo Communications, Inc., is the newly elected SMPTE Sections Vice-President. A native of Toronto, Canada, he was educated at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute, and the University of Toronto, where he studied Engineering, Business Administration, and Management. He was with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in Toronto for 12 years, first as a Technican, then as Supervisor, Technical Operations, and from 1963 to 1966 he was manager of TV/Film Operations. In that post he was responsible for the distribution and management of film, videotape, and television programs. In 1966 he joined Bonded Services International as Vice-president and General Manager. In 1974 Bonded took on the management of Victoria Film Services in six Canadian cities, and Eady, as Executive Vice-President, undertook a successful reorganization of that company.
