Printer Control by Means of Calculated Trimmer Corrections
The trimmer changes required to compensate for variations in processing or print film batches can be calculated from measured differences in density between a test print and the laboratory standard. To obtain reliable trimmer corrections, a method is given here which takes into consideration the relation between density and trimmer changes as a function of density of the print. All calculations can be done with a programmable pocket calculator.
