On the other hand, the present developing processes are performed under high temperatures and high speeds, and the processing capacities of present printers and developing equipment have greatly increased. To cope with these new types of processing equipment, the acceleration of the quality control process has become necessary. The Yokohama Cinema Laboratories built a computer-controlled system for the daily density measurements and chartings of the large number of control strips to speed up the quality control process and, at the same time, to decrease the work load. At the same time, it applied the system to a wide range of quality control items.
