Education
A study of the educational objectives of SMPTE was made during the last months of 1981 and the first half of 1982. The study indicated that the Society is not adequately meeting its goal of aiding young persons seeking educational opportunities in the technologies of motion pictures and television. However, it has not been possible, up to this time, to identify the most suitable future role of the Society in this important area.
