Video Cable Comunicación (VCC) began broadcasting on December 1, 1982, and has become the most important CATV company, not only in Argentina but in South America, because of the extent of its network and the quality of programming. As of November 1984, VCC had 22,385 subscribers. From its headquarters and head-end in suburban Buenos Aires, VCC broadcasts five off-air channels, its own three channels, and all local FM radio stereo stations from 88 to 108 MHz.
