SMPTE Tutorial Paper: Coach: A Tool for Centralized Maintenance
This article describes the Coach computer control system, as used to monitor Philips' LDK6 camera systems. The Coach is the device used to monitor the camera systems and present the results to a central maintenance engineer, who can then apply corrective measures to solve a problem. The advantages of using this automatic system rather than having a maintenance engineer present on location are discussed relative to maintenance and quality control.
