The 1988 Progress Report — Foreword: Prepared by the Progress Committee of the SMPTE
The year 1988 clearly demonstrated the international scope of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers. From Nashville to Munich, from Tokyo to New York City, there were SMPTE members disseminating scientific information concerning the motion-picture, television, and allied arts and sciences.
