Real-Time Multilevel Digital Compositing: Quality Issues

A previous paper discussed the advantages of multilevel compositing when compared with “one layer at a time” techniques, and described the architecture of a system designed to provide multilayer capabilities in the digital domain.1 This article examines issues affecting the quality of composited images in the digital domain and solutions implemented in the Grass Valley Group (GVG) digital compositing systems.
