Les Paul Speaks at the 145th SMPTE Conference and Exhibition in New York

Legendary guitarist and inventor Les Paul appeared as a surprise guest speaker at the SMPTE conference session on multichannel audio. He received a standing ovation when introduced by SMPTE Director of Engineering, Carl Girod. — The Grammy-winning (1976), Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee (1988) is now 88 years old and still plays two sets every Monday evening at the Iridium midtown Manhattan jazz club.
