New Integrated Workflows for Broadcast Facilities
SMPTE's S22–10 group has been working diligently on standardizing the flow of schedule data, content metadata, and requests for content movement. The working group, consisting of over 80 members, has produced BXF (Broadcast exchange Format), as a result. With the involvement of so many key industry players in its development, it appears certain that BXF will not only be implemented rapidly in systems, but will have a dramatic impact on workflows in broadcast facilities everywhere in fairly short order.
