Evaluation and Color Scheme Correction Support System for Data Content considering Aging of Human Crystalline Lenses
We propose a color reproduction model for aging human crystalline lenses that employs the optical density function of crystalline lenses proposed by Pokorny et al. and a method to correct the color schemes that were found to be imperceptible to the elderly. We assumed that the spectral distribution of the content was defined by a certain liquid crystal display (LCD) spectrum. We show that the spectral compensation of all of the screen colors causes some color schemes to be imperceptible to the elderly, and we propose a method using a color palette for changing the colors in these regions. Using the results from this evaluation, we present a prototype of the color scheme correction support system.
