File Formats and Systems (31FS)
The 31FS File Formats and Systems technology committee oversees the definition of common wrapper structure, file formats, and file systems for the storage, transmission, and management of digital media file components. The output documents are standards, engineering guidelines, and other specifications that use technologies such as Material Exchange Format (MXF), General Exchange Format (GXF), Digital Picture Exchange (DPX), Extensible Markup Language (XML) and other widely used formats in the industry.
