Managing “the photographic look” for the sci-fi movie Elysium, through the use of the Academy Color Encoding System (ACES) was the subject of the SMPTE Hollywood Section chapter meeting, held at the Linwood Dunn Theatre in Hollywood on the evening of 24 September. The event drew a full house with an audience of more than 260 members and guests.
