Why Broadcast Still Matters [Message from the Executive Director]

Barbara H. Lange

It's Monday morning, the day after the Super Bowl, the biggest sporting event in the U.S. Interestingly, I watched the game from my London hotel. And while I was visiting with family in Berlin this past weekend, I was surprised to learn that my cousin's teenage children were planning to stay up all night to catch this game live on television. All around the world, more than 100 million viewers tuned in to watch this sporting spectacle. In the U.K. alone, more than 4 million people were expected to view the event!
