Making Progress through Standards [Message from the Executive Director]
Welcome to the annual Progress Report issue of the SMPTE Motion Imaging Journal. As in previous years, this issue will provide the latest developments of Standards, not only from SMPTE, but also from other standards-development bodies around the world. Setting standards is an international affair, thus it becomes critical that SMPTE also provide the developments of “sister” organizations that work within the media ecosystem.
