Immersive and Personalized Audio: A Practical System for Enabling Interchange, Distribution, and Delivery of Next-Generation Audio Experiences

Recent advances in cinema audio continue to bring more lifelike experiences to theater audiences. These advances are also driving a more global transformation and are poised to enable a richer experience in the living room and on the go. This paper proposes several practical methods that enable accessible, immersive, and personalized experiences from production through playback across broadcast, cable, satellite, internet protocol television, and over-the-top platforms.
