2018 Digital Video Broadcasting Update
Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2018. We are therefore especially pleased to update SMPTE and its members on the highlights from DVB’s work over the past year and to provide some insight into its future plans. For many years, DVB has enjoyed a close and valuable working relationship with SMPTE, with a number of SMPTE’s specifications incorporated into DVB standards. The specifications used by DVB range from video and interface specifications through active format description and forward error correction schemes. DVB wishes to continue its productive partnership in areas of mutual interest into the future.
