Sponsored by the Advanced Media Workflow Association (AMWA), the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), SMPTE, and the Video Services Forum (VSF), it has acted as a driver for open, interoperable standards for professional media during the transition to the Internet Protocol (IP) infrastructure.
