Display Technology 2019: Never a Dull Moment
The world of display technology continues to both surprise and confound us, as it has been doing for the past 25 years. Often leading our industry in advancing the state of the art, displays in 2019 are pushing to new heights in resolution with 8K and UHD+, swinging the pendulum back toward emissive technology with fine-pitch light-emitting diode (LED) displays, supporting enhancements like high dynamic range (HDR) and high frame rates (HFRs), and creating all sorts of bit rate headaches for manufacturers of signal interfacing and distribution equipment.
