Update from the Standards Vice President: Cloud

Bruce Devlin

During a recent meeting discussing cloud workflows, someone commented that disruption was the new normal. We will never be in a state of ruption again. Apart from getting a laugh at the invention of a new word that really should exist but doesn’t, the point is well made. Cloud is more a way of thinking than any single technology. It’s a different way of paying for services that require rare resources to create (i.e., special humans who write code) but have applications that are probably global in scale.
