Display Technology 2020: The Winds Are Shifting

As we enter the second decade of the 21st century, the display industry is in a state of flux. Excess manufacturing capacity and diminishing profits have led some manufacturers to shut down production of their most popular product, the liquid crystal display (LCD) panel. Companies are leery of making substantial capital investments in new display technology, unsure of if and when they will see a return on their investment.
