Progress Report on the Video Services Forum, 2025
This year, the Video Services Forum (VSF) has published the Internet Protocol Media Experience (IPMX) suite of specifications, known as VSF Technical Recommendation 10 (TR-10). IPMX is a set of open standards and specifications for AV over IP that address the ProAV industry's need for ubiquitous standards and protocols in the transition to IP infrastructures. IPMX is based on the SMPTE ST 2110 suite of standards and the related Advanced Media Workflow Association (AMWA) Networked Media Open Specifications (NMOS) specifications prevalent within the broadcast industry, but adds specific capabilities for Pro AV work-flows. Many of these capabilities are also needed in television station environments.
